What is UHV power transmission?

UHV power transmission refers to the power transmission technology with voltage levels of AC 1000 kV and above, and DC ± 800 kV and above.

What is a hybrid solar inverter?

A standard solar inverter only converts DC power from solar panels into AC power for household use, while a hybrid inverter does this and enables energy storage in a battery. This means that the excess solar energy can be stored for later use with a hybrid inverter instead of feeding it back into the grid.

Is UHV AC a standard voltage?

UHV AC voltage has become the international standard voltage. The secretariats of five IEC Committees are set in SGCC. China finished the construction of the first commercial UHV AC project in the world in January 2009, and completed UHV DC project in the world in July 2010.

What will China do with UHV power?

China will further build a renewable energy supply and consumption system with stable, safe and reliable UHV power transmission and transformation as the carrier.
