What does a solar inverter do?

A solar inverter is an important part of any solar power system. It primarily converts the direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar panels into alternating current (AC), where AC electricity is used for powering household appliances, or it can be fed into the power grid. Can a solar inverter charge an energy storage system?

If you want to use power from the utility grid to charge an energy storage system (battery) when there is not enough sunlight (solar power).
