What is a flow battery?

Decarbonisation requires renewable energy sources, which are intermittent, and this requires large amounts of energy storage to cope with this intermittency. Flow batteries offer a new freedom in the design of energy handling. The flow battery concept permits to adjust electrical power and stored energy capacity independently.

Why should you choose a flow battery?

Long life cycle: flow batteries have a significantly longer lifespan compared to many other battery technologies. This reduces the need for frequent replacements, minimizing waste and environmental impact. Recyclable components: many components of flow batteries, such as the tanks and pumps, can be easily recycled.
