What is the process of making solar panels?

Solar panels are made through the following process: Sand → Silicon → Wafer → Photovoltaic Cell → Solar Panel. This involves silicon wafer production, cell fabrication, and the assembly of panels into solar modules in a solar manufacturing plant.

This pure silicon is then melted and formed into either monocrystalline silicon or polycrystalline silicon ingots, thanks to the Czochralski (CZ) process. From ingots to wafers: Next, the silicon ingots are sliced into thin silicon wafers. These wafers serve as the foundation for solar cells.

How are PV solar cells manufactured?

PV solar cells are made using specialized equipment, starting with transforming raw silicon into crystalline ingots and slicing them into thin wafers. These wafers form the substrate of the solar cells.
