On August 7, 2023, Djibouti Telecom announced the RAS DIKA CLS is fully operational! Djibouti Telecom announced that the company has started the construction of a New Cable Landing Station in Djibouti City. Djibouti Telecom has two existing cable landing stations, housing 8 operational submarine cable systems and 5 on-project cable systems.

Today, Djibouti is a real African hub for Internet traffic. Djibouti Telecom now operates two cable landing stations in Djibouti, the YAC A Cable Landing Station and the Haramous Cable Landing Station. Five international submarine cable systems including AAE1, ADEN-DJIBOUTI, SEACOM, SMW3 and DARE1, are landing at the YAC A Cable Landing Station.
