How much solar energy does Morocco use?

As of early 2025, fresh figures from the Moroccan Ministry of Energy show that solar energy alone now accounts for around 20% of the nation’s total electricity production. This marks a dramatic increase from just a decade ago, when Morocco relied heavily on imported fossil fuels.
